Project Manager / Coordinator

MTA has immediate opening for a Project Manager / Project Coordinator. This position is responsible for the management of a wide range of automation projects for many different industries, including pharmaceutical, medical device, electronics, consumer products and automotive. This position functions within the Engineering department and reports to the Engineering Manager.


  • Manage projects of various sizes and complexities that may involve multiple departments and outside resources
  • Serve as the face of the company to the customer
  • Build strong working relationships with individual customers by being accountable, and over time, understanding their business, situations, and needs
  • Manage customer expectations and requirements and communicate those to the project team
  • Manage project scope internally (with the project team) and externally (with the customer)
  • Manage changes to project scope and negotiate financial and/or schedule impact of changes with the customer
  • Create detailed schedule for each project and track progress throughout the project
  • Communicate project status to all internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify risks and road blocks to the successful completion of the project and work with management to resolve issues if/when they arise
  • Meet with the project team leaders on a daily basis to ensure any project issues are resolved
  • Ensure harmonious working relationships with our key partners


  • Bachelor’s degree/equivalent preferred but not required
  • Project Management Professional certification preferred but not required
  • Must be willing to obtain and maintain a PMP certification
