MTA employs industry-leading, project management methods to ensure customers are involved in key project phases. A single point of contact reports project status at a frequency driven by the current project phase. The report communicates overall project health, milestones, issues and action items in a concise manner.

Initiation
Upon RFQ receipt, project management reviews the request for potential constraints and offers input designed to mitigate risk. Upon PO receipt, the project manager reviews project specifications with the assigned team and establishes the baseline project schedule.

Planning
Planning phase establishes a project roadmap by creating project, resource, financial, quality, acceptance and communication plans.

Execution
Execution monitors plans while building deliverables and controlling project delivery, scope, costs, quality, risks and issues. Team review of project deliverables ensure all stakeholders are properly informed.

Closure
This phase involves winding down the project by releasing staff, handing over deliverables to the customer and completing a post-implementation review. The project is then reviewed internally for future efficiency improvements.
